This Privacy Policy explains how Apex Iron LLC ("Apex Iron," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Apex Iron mobile app and related services.

Apex Iron is a fitness, nutrition, workout tracking, optional Health Connect syncing, and AI coaching app. Apex Iron is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Before first use of certain AI, photo, body scan, barcode, Health Connect, and notification features, the app may show an in-app disclosure explaining what information is processed for that feature. You can choose not to continue with that feature.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide, information generated through app use, and information processed by service providers that help operate the app.
Account Information
- Email address
- Firebase user ID
- Display name or nickname, if provided
- Account creation and update timestamps
- Subscription or account tier status when subscriptions are enabled
Fitness Profile Information
- Age, sex, height, and weight
- Fitness level, goals, activity level, and preferences
- Injuries, limitations, or exercise restrictions you choose to enter
- Body measurements or body composition estimates
Workout and Progress Information
- Generated or manually created workout plans
- Exercises, sets, reps, weight used, rest timers, completion status, and workout history
- Calories burned estimates, streaks, personal records, badges, levels, weekly AI check-ins, and progress summaries
- Exercise preferences, available equipment, focus areas, and workout goals
Health Connect Information
If you choose to enable Health Connect sync on a supported Android device, Apex Iron may read selected daily summaries you authorize, such as steps, active calories, sleep duration, heart rate, weight, and workout count. Apex Iron stores a daily Health Connect summary in your account so the dashboard, progress views, and optional AI check-ins can use it. You can revoke Health Connect permissions in Android settings at any time.
Nutrition and Meal Photo Information
- Meal photos you choose to upload
- Meal names, meal types, estimated calories, macronutrients, portions, confidence levels, notes, and timestamps
- Barcode values you choose to scan for packaged food lookup
- Typed or dictated meal descriptions you choose to enter
Meal analysis is an estimate and may be inaccurate. You should review and edit results when needed.
Body Scan and Progress Photo Information
- Progress photos you choose to upload
- Height and weight submitted with a scan
- Estimated body fat percentage, muscle mass, BMI, measurements, posture notes, confidence levels, and scan timestamps
Body scan results are visual fitness estimates only and should not be used for medical decisions.
AI Coach Content
When you use AI features, we may process coach messages, prompts, recent chat context, profile context, workout preferences, food photo context, and body scan photo context. When you choose readiness-based workout adjustment, we may also process readiness summaries, recent training summaries, and progression recommendations. When you choose weekly AI check-ins, we may process recent workout, food log, body metric, optional Health Connect, and current plan summaries. Do not submit information you do not want processed by AI services.
Photos, Camera, and Device Access
Apex Iron may let you choose photos from your device or take photos for meal analysis and body scan features, and scan food barcodes. Photos are uploaded only when you choose to use those features. Barcode lookup sends the scanned barcode to a product database to retrieve product information. The app may request camera, microphone, biometric, notification, activity recognition, and Health Connect read permissions for optional features. The app does not request broad access to contacts, SMS, location, or advertising ID. Voice meal logging uses device speech recognition to turn your spoken meal description into text before macro estimation. Apex Iron receives the recognized meal text, but does not store raw microphone audio.
Technical Information
We and our service providers may process technical information needed to operate the app, such as authentication tokens, IP address, device or app metadata, request logs, security logs, crash reports, stack traces, error logs, and usage metadata generated by Firebase, Google Cloud, OpenAI, or other service providers.
Apex Iron uses Firebase Crashlytics to help identify and fix app crashes, non-fatal errors, and stability issues. Crash reports may include app version, device model, operating system version, crash time, stack trace, and related diagnostic information.
How We Use Information
- Create, authenticate, and manage your account
- Provide app functionality and sync your data across devices
- Generate workouts, coach responses, meal estimates, and body scan estimates
- Generate weekly AI check-ins and readiness-based progression suggestions when requested
- Track workouts, nutrition, cardio, body metrics, badges, optional Health Connect summaries, and progress
- Send local workout, nutrition, and weekly check-in reminders when enabled
- Improve reliability, security, fraud prevention, and support
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
Service Providers
Apex Iron uses Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, cloud functions, database storage, file storage, crash reporting, app security, and infrastructure. Apex Iron uses OpenAI API services for AI coaching, workout generation, weekly AI check-ins, readiness-based workout adjustment, meal text analysis, meal photo analysis, macro recalculation, and body scan analysis. Barcode lookup may send scanned barcode values to Open Food Facts or another product lookup provider to retrieve product name, serving, and nutrition information. If the app links to YouTube or other exercise media, those services may process data under their own terms and privacy policies when you open or view that content.
If enabled by you, Apex Iron reads authorized health and fitness summaries from Health Connect on your Android device. Apex Iron does not write Health Connect data back to other health apps.
Data Sharing
We may share information with service providers that process data on our behalf, when needed to provide app functionality, with product lookup providers when you choose to scan a packaged food barcode, to comply with law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not share user data with third parties for third-party advertising.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections, and our infrastructure providers offer encryption protections for stored data. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain account and app data while your account is active or as needed to provide the app. We may retain limited information for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, backups, or enforcing our terms. When you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify account-associated app data unless retention is required for legitimate legal, safety, security, or compliance reasons.
Account and Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your Apex Iron account and associated app data from the app or at apexironfitness.com/account-deletion. Deletion requests should include the email address associated with the account so we can verify and process the request.

Children's Privacy
Apex Iron is intended for users who are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in their location. The app is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice in the app or through other appropriate channels.
